DIY Coconut Hair Mask

Wishing you could bring your hair back to life and luster? Blow dryers, weather, and products all take a toll on our locks.

Not to worry! We have great news- you don’t have to spend a fortune on reviving your hair. Hair masks with natural, home made ingredients are a great and cheap way to work wonders on damaged lockers and rejuvenating sleeping hair follicles!

Coconut has extremely powerful, penetrative oils that unblock clogged hair follicles and strengthen them, while honey nourishes by watering dry follicles that are prone to breaking off. These two powerful ingredients bring hair back to life in this simple do-it-yourself hair mask tutorial.

All it calls for is one tablespoon of organic coconut oil, and one tablespoon of organic raw honey. For extra damaged or long hair, just add a bit more of these ingredients. Mix the ingredients together and as an extra step to help your hair follicles open up, heat the mixture up on a stovetop in a small sauce pan.

The mask can be applied to dry or wet hair, although we've found that it's easier to apply to wet hair. You can always put a towel around your neck to protect your clothes while applying the mask. Section your hair off and apply generously from top to bottom, focusing on my ends where most damage occurs. Wrap your hair in a bun and let the mask soak in for 30-40 minutes.

Wash the mask out in the shower using your regular shampoo and conditioner routine and voila! Soft, smooth, healthy hair.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
  • Sauce Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Towel
